Illegal War?

International law? "I better call my lawyer." Better not to. The civilised world can't depend on the legal niceties of an ersatz global jurisdiction. If the Iraq war turns out to have been "illegal", that's just another bonus.

Mark Steyn, I think I love you.

He's quite a laugh isn't he.... :-)

It's partly the niceities that make us "civilised"....

"Illegal" war? Who said so... Michael Moore? Janet Reno? Ted Kennedy? Oh, OOooh, i get it... we're supposed to NOT be a sovereign nation anymore... THAT's right... we're supposed to be the UN's lackey on a string, governed by THEM, not do what WE would do to protect ourselves, mistakes or no mistakes.
Tell you what, the US or Bush aren't going to do much about N. Korea. Let's see how the UN handles this one. Can they pull their heads out of their asses enough to come to a concensus and make a decision? Now we get to see. Thank God for a president who takes action, right or wrong, mistakes or not, rather than waiting around for that giant thumb-sucking, embargo-slapping institute, the UN.

It may not be legally illegal but it for damn sure is morally wrong. Many people died for no good reason (do not say there were wmd's in iraq), and if you have an and if or but about that than I hope you know your soul is dog shiet, how can you honestly defend people who killed innocent. I do not beleive the war has protected americans, in fact I beleive the war has put americans in danger, before the war the world used to dislike america, after the war the world hates it, how safe is america now with many more enemies? I don't beleive bush caused 911 but how he chose to react was wrong, you don't just invade and kill people because they're the naighbourgh of the country that may have housed the possible terrorist group. I'm not mad with republicans, but I do hate usless murder.

and to the idiodic thing Brent says, you say its good to have a prersident who takes action whether it be right or wrong. Let's just see if you'll be supporting your president if he's bombing your house for no reason. rem, ember this isn't a "who's gonna get him first" race between america and the un. Personally I don't like the UN, I think they've fucked up more than they've fixed, but their mistakes are miniscule compared to what this war has done to families, people like you and me. You should let 1000 guilty people get away before you put one innocent man to death, and Mr.Bush has put the innocent to death. You can defend and love the guy, I don''t care, just honestly take a look at what the guy has done, look at people as people and not as iraqis and americans, he's killed, and you love him.
