Illegal Immigration: Letter to Fox News

Hello, the following message is meant for Hannity and Colmes:

On the Hannity and Colmes show Senator John McCain was interviewed and I was distressed by what I consider to have been a lack of honesty on the senator's part. When he was questioned about "amnesty" being given to "undocumented immigrants" (McCain's term) he deflected the question into the subject of citizenship and whether or not a "guest worker" program would give these "undocumented immigrants" an unfair advantage on that path. WHY, Mr. Hannity and Mr. Colmes, did you allow that?

These illegal aliens have crossed our borders into our country not to become citizens, but to live and work. THE goal for these people is to live and work here. Granted, for some of them, it may be that gaining citizenship is a goal for them, an additional goal, but its a very minor one in comparison to the primary goal of being able to live and to work here.

Now if a child steals a toy airplane from a toy store and is caught, we not only punish the child by sending him into his room, cutting off his allowance, or some other way, but just as importantly, in fact most importantly, we take the airplane away from the child so that his offense of stealing doesn't pay off in the acquisition of the airplane which he wanted. The very same principle which is behind that act must also be put into play when we catch people stealing the right to residency and the right to work in this country. TAKE IT AWAY. Send every single one of them that is caught back home and, in addition, dole out some punishment beforehand. But under no circumstances should they be allowed one more single second of un-incarcerated life in our country. And failing to do that is what we Americans refer to as "giving amnesty". (Note to John McCain - skip the dictionary definition, this is what we mean.)

Misters Hannity and Colmes, please don't allow politicians to mislead America by changing the subject from the illegals' goal of living in and working in this country to the red herring subject of their supposed goal of gaining citizenship. That's not what this is about. It never was.

Wow what a good post, I've been keeping up with your site for some time, and I just want to say while I don't always follow the depth of your cartoon style, I feel your politics are *WITHOUT FLAW*. Granted, I am a like-minded conservative, but you bring up excellent points. You should go into further detail for a few reasons, first that incarcerating or deporting immigrants takes money from US, not them. This is probably the most painful part of illegal immigration. The fact that we are responsible for reversing the efforts of their god-given mobility is tedious, to say the least. I hope a solution will present itself.

these people are hear illegally. what don't you uinderstaND ABOUT THAT. who cares why they are hear. they should all be arrested and sent to jail for life.
what good are laws if liberal asswipes like you keep making excuses for them.

I would like to say that amnesty would be giving them instant access to our country. The plan that Senators John McCain and Edward Keneddy proposed would require staying in the country for a certain number of years and paying back taxes and learning English, and passing a citizenship test. Also about the child stealing the plane. It is not ok for the child to steal a plane simply because he wants it, but perhaps it would be ok if the child needed the plane for him and his family to live. Many illegal immigrants are living here, leading normal lives and wish to stay here. Most living here, would in fact like to become a part of this country and to be able to have their family here. And liberals are not ass wipes, we do inforce the law. We want to legally change the law, which is why we're voting on this, to change the law, the American way, for the better.

How can Mr.Jon be so cruel, and say that illegal immigrants should be sent home? This country was built by immigrants, and you should look back and discover your family roots. They were also immigrants.

I think too they should be sent back home. Sneaking over the border is a criminal offense and should be treated as such. We as American citizens can't sneak into the grocery store and help ourself to the cash register and that in essence is what they are doing. Coming over here illegal, taking jobs, sponging on the welfare system for groceries, housing, food when we have people that rightfully deserve this assistanc and can't get it. That is not right! It simply should not be allowed. Then they have the gall to sing our National Anthem in their language and hang their flag above ours. They do not even respect this country so they should not be here!

This is NOT an `immigrant nation.` There are 280 million native born Americans. While it is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (legal immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another. The United States is welcoming to legal immigrants. Illegal aliens are not immigrants by definition. The U.S. accepts more lawful immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.

jon " sent to jail for life" come on now, why do you hate so much, America will always be multi-clored, never just white, get used to it, been that way for along time.

Who will pay the millions, if not billions, of dollars to send them to jail for life? US taxes... that's right.

This is the most ignorant thing I have ever read. I can't even believe I am commenting as this is the first time in 10 years. Of course their ulimate goal is to gain citizenship. How else can they insure a future for their family and themeselves. Many have had a carrot dangled in their faces for years with the hope of gaining citizenship. Of course we will never send them back because they are the ones doing the dirty work. Taxes are taken out of there paycheck and paid into our tax system. Do you think they get a return at the end of the year? NO way! Uncle sam is putting it in his pocket free and clear. But he will give them a tax I.D. number so if
they owe they will be sure to pay.

and one more thing. I'm sure it wasn't that long ago your ancesters came here looking for a better life. I am sure the American Indians felt about the same way most of you do about undocumented immigrants now.

I think immigrations for pussys, if you cant be a man and come to our country the right way your ass doesnt need to crap here, all you d-bagggs who think that they can cheat the system need to go home. We are sick a tired of paying our country to your lazy ass's to live here, my hard work shouldnt be going to mexico. Bitch please

I dont agree that illegal immagrants should be given citizenship because they would just be rewarded for a crime they commited. It would be unfair to those that have waited there turn to get in this country legally. Also I dont think the government should allow them to stay, most of the money they make goes to other countries and helps the other countries economy because there is a larger circulation of money there and it hurts the US economy because the money leaves the country and no longer circulates here. And also I dont think the last comment made sense, Jose doesn't even know how to speak english correctly, come on!!!!

Illegal immigrant is really like a "politically correct" term to me. I really like Lawbreaker, Felon, or my personal favorite, Trespasser! What should we give these lawbreakers? A driver's license? No! I am in favor of a free seat on a bus that will take them out of our country.

The laws allow a certain number into the country. Those here legally that are to leave at a certain time and don't are here illegally as well.
I am not against Mexican people coming here and becoming American citizens. I just believe that it has to be by the book!

One law that I think needs to be changed is the one that allows pregnant mothers to drop a child and that automatically makes the child a US citizen. Mom's here illegally... kid is too. Send them both packing!

I could go on and on. It's really about money anyway. Big business is kissing the big brown ass. Everything I see is in spanish anymore. ATM's, products in all of the stores, signs in every store. Forget making people learn our language, we'll just kiss their asses and learn their language instead! Try going to other countries and marching on their capital insisting on rights. I promise you won't be getting a free driver's license!

WAKE UP AMERICA!
